The first thing you should consider doing even before you begin looking for your new home is to get pre-approved. Remember that pre-approval isnt the same as pre=qualification. Pre-approval from a lender is where they take into account your actual income, debt and credit history.
Why get pre-approved? When you get pre-approved you will know what you can afford and how much you can afford to offer when you find the right home. This way you won’t be wasting your time looking at homes that don’t fit into your budget.
