Are you in The Zone?

Things to consider about school zones –

Don’t assume anything about what school zone you think you are in.  The home across the street could be zoned for different schools than the one you are looking at. Be absolutely certain that the home you are considering is  zoned for  the school district you want to be in.  Make sure you understand your school’s zones and you do the research yourself.  You can’t always depend on others to know what the real situation is.

If you are thinking “what do I care about the schools, I don’t have kids?”  The school district can effect the value of your home.  At some point in the future you may want to sell, then being located in the better the school district, the more valuable the area is.
